ØTALK SHOW 3

Ø This is a continuation of our talk show . Pastor Paul and the Christ Love Family invite you to participate in this "TALKING FROM THE HEART TO THE HEART".

5. Do I need to tell my husband everything I do? If I don’t am I lying?

Ø Do you want your husband to tell you everything he does? Then tell him everything if you want him to tell you everything. Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Ø If you do not want to tell him when he asks just simply manipulate him from the subject or tell him I am not comfortable telling you but he might get angry or even retaliates.

Husband and wife should open up to each other and discuss freely. Mostly on family issues the two should contribute equally and get them solved amicably. No one is more important than the other.
6. If my husband commits adultery can I leave him? And can I get married again?

7. What does the bible say about a married woman who leaves her husband who abuses her? Does she commit adultery if she marries again?

Ø Deu 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

Ø Mat 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Ø 1Cort. 7:10-17

In the issue of marriage we have to be careful. It involves two persons. Though the Bible says few things about marriage both in the old and in the new testament but the conclusive intention of God who established it is for peace to reign in the family, in the society and in each person's life. Marriage has many colours, it changes with time and with occurrence. The way it works for others it might not work like that for you. You need the Holy Spirit of God to guide you. Take it to the Holy Spirit of GOD to direct you to either leave an abusive relationship or stay. Let Him direct you to either to remarry or stay single. Jesus Christ said that the Holy Spirit of God will teach us, guide us, reveal things to us and comfort us. Most of the things which the Holy Spirit of God is coming to do in your life you might not find them in the bible. It is a relationship between you and the Holy Spirit. It is a communication between you and the Holy Spirit. Fast and pray. The Holy Spirit will help you out of a wrong relationship.

Satan can bring two persons into a wrong marriage. There are many marriages today that are suffering because they were ordained by Satan. Anytime Satan wants to cause a problem in one's life he would bring the wrong person into that person's life. We heard true stories of demonic persons coming into ministers' lives just to destroy their ministries.

This I speak not from the scripture if you are not at peace in your marriage as God intended then work out. Work out if you have tried all you could and it does not work. Work out if it is abusive and deadly. Work out if it is disconnecting you from God. Let it end peacefully if your spouse does not want it to continue. Never you tie your destiny down because of someone. The scripture says "Let he who lacks wisdom ask"

WHO ARE YOU?

Today's Truth
2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do" (NLT).

Friend To Friend
If we really want to know God; if we really want to understand who and whose we are, the Bible must have the highest place in our lives. We don't have to be a Bible scholar or have a firm grip on the Hebrew and Greek languages to know and apply God's principles and promises. As you read the Bible, the Holy Spirit will give you understanding and teach you spiritual truth. He will then give you the power you need to follow those teachings and apply each truth.

A disciple is a follower, a learner and a student. If we want to follow God and be a learner of Him, a student of His ways, then we have to understand the importance of the Bible, love the Word and spend time in it. I thought I was doing a fair job of plugging the truth of God's Word into my life until I rammed right into Psalm 119. Within this passage, I discovered a test for us as believers that will help determine the importance we really place on God's Word in daily life. Take this test with me to see if God's Word has the place in your life that it should have.

Is God's Word more important than food?
Psalm 119:103 "Your promises are sweet to me, sweeter than honey in my mouth" (NCV). Here the Bible is described as honey and at other places in the scripture as milk or bread. The Bible is our spiritual food and sustains and strengthens us just as food sustains and strengthens our physical body. Just as malnutrition affects our physical growth, spiritual malnutrition affects our spiritual growth. I dare say that we rarely miss a meal. We always find a way to eat. Do we have the same depth of commitment to our spiritual growth and health as we do to satisfying the hunger pains of our human body?

Is God's Word more important than money?
Psalm 119:72 "Your teachings are worth more to me than thousands of pieces of gold and silver" (NCV). What the psalmist is saying is that spiritual wealth is more important than human wealth. Do we really live as if that statement were true? I have a friend who is totally committed to God and to serving Him whole-heartedly. My friend is a garbage collector - a happy garbage collector. I once asked him why he was so happy in his work. "Mary, I collect garbage to pay the bills but my real passion in life is to share Jesus Christ and to serve Him with joy." He has the right backdrop for life and it is not wealth or money.

Is God's Word more important to you than sleep?
Psalm 119:147-148 "I wake up early in the morning and cry out. I hope in your word. I stay awake all night so I can think about your promises." (NCV) I know. Now God is getting personal! When we start talking about giving up sleep to read and study the Word of God, we are talking radical obedience. Exactly! If we want to experience God's power in our lives, we have to saturate our lives with His Word.

How did you do? I will tell you honestly that I failed this test! I have walked with God for over forty years and I still do not have the hunger and thirst for God's Word that I should have. If we would listen carefully, I believe we could hear God say, "If you want to get to know me - really know me - if you want to be intimate with Me, you have to know my Book!"

The truth is that we find a way to do the things in life that are important to us. Have you noticed that we always seem to find the time to eat and sleep? We are driven to work in order to live the good life but we neglect the most important - the only eternal part of our being - our soul. Our soul can only be nourished and fed by the Word of the Living God. How important is God's Word in your life?

Let's Pray
Father, I pray that You would give me a hunger and thirst for the Bible. I want to please You with my life through obedience to Your truths. I choose to spend time reading the Bible and praying each day this week. Would You please honor my commitment and empower me to keep it? When I fail, Lord, I choose now to forgive myself as You forgive me - and begin again.

In Jesus' name,
Amen.
